Kirk serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the management division of Allied Orion Group which currently manages over 25,000 units. Kirk is responsible for developing the strategic plans and policies of the property management business, including business planning and business development. He has directly or indirectly successfully sponsored the acquisition/development of approximately 3,600 multi-family units with a total aggregate value of over $460 million. Kirk’s career in multi-family property management began in 1976. During the recession of the early 1990’s, he formed Orion Real Estate Services to focus on the repositioning of distressed properties and later merged his company with Allied in 2001. Kirk expanded the property management business to specialize in affordable housing (Section 8 and Section 42 projects) while still managing class A conventional properties. Kirk has been active in many professional associations, including the Houston Apartment Association (HAA) where he served as the 2000 President and is currently a Director. He also served as the 2004 President of the Texas Apartment Association (TAA) and is a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management. Kirk has been a Regional Vice President of the National Apartment Association (NAA). Kirk is a Certified Property Manager (CPM) and a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin.
