Carlos Gonzalez brings substantial professional and entrepreneurial experience in real estate development, investment banking and private equity. Before joining Allied Orion Group, he founded and led a real estate development and consulting firm based in Houston involved in multifamily development. He started his career as Project Engineer for Baker Hughes in Venezuela. After business school, he worked as management consultant with McKinsey & Company, and later as Manager in the International Corporate Finance Division at Citicorp/Citibank, in charge of cross border transactions in Latin America. In 1992, he co-founded Grupo SDL, a leading investment banking boutique focused on South America.
Carlos Gonzalez has BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Simon Bolivar University in Caracas (First in Class, Cum Laude), and an MBA from IESA in Caracas (Honors). As part of his MBA studies, he attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler Business School as an international exchange student.
